Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Note: Must have 4+ years of public accounting experience with a strong tax focus (not audit, not industry, not government) and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or EA is strongly preferred (or willing and eligible to become one).

Job Description
Own a section of approximately 40–50 clients, overseeing accounting, tax, and advisory deliverables
Lead and develop Staff Accountants: hire, train, coach, supervise, and review work product
Review monthly financial statements and ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness
Lead initial strategy sessions for new clients and manage onboarding through handoff to staff
Build trusted relationships with business owners and serve as their strategic partner year-round
Monitor client profitability and recommend fee adjustments based on scope, time, and transactions
Deliver tax planning, prepare and review tax returns, respond to taxing authorities, and advise on tax questions
Improve processes, leverage technology (including AI tools), and drive efficiency across your section
Qualifications
4+ years of public accounting experience with substantial tax exposure (excluding audit-only backgrounds)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
CPA or EA preferred (or willing and eligible to become one)
Comfortable leading people, reviewing work, and holding high standards with a supportive coaching style
Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
Proactive, independent, and solutions-driven you bring proposed answers, not just problems
