Manufacturing Engineer – Electrical / Controls Focus
Warwick, Rhode Island
Our manufacturing client in Warwick, RI is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with strong electrical controls experience to support complex production equipment, induction heating systems, and plant reliability initiatives.
This is not a desk-only engineering role. This is a plant-floor technical leader who can diagnose equipment issues, read PLC logic, and confidently direct maintenance electricians during troubleshooting events.
Key Responsibilities
Read and troubleshoot PLC logic (Automation Direct / Direct Logic preferred)
Diagnose and support VFD, vector drive, and DC drive systems (Nidec, Control Techniques, Bardac, Baldor, ABB)
Support temperature control systems (Eurotherm preferred)
Work with thermocouples (K & J types) and PID control systems (open and closed loop)
Understand and support induction heating systems, melting furnaces, and power supplies
Troubleshoot hydraulic electrical controls including solenoids, pumps, and motors
Work safely with voltages including 480V 3-phase, 240V, 120V, and 24VDC systems
Ideal Candidate
Strong electrical troubleshooting background in a manufacturing environment
Comfortable leading electricians during breakdown diagnosis
Systems thinker who understands how controls, drives, and process equipment integrate
Experience in metals, heat treat, furnace, or industrial process environments is highly valued
Compensation target around $94,500, with flexibility based on experience.
