MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - SENIOR Multiple Locations: New York, NY | San Francisco, CA | Palo Alto, CA | Seattle, WA A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the most sophisticated and high-profile M&A transactions in the technology and life sciences sectors, advising both public and private companies on strategic deals of global impact. Candidate Profile JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing 6–8 years of substantive experience handling public and private company M&A and other strategic transactions Experience serving as a lead associate on M&A transactions, including heading the M&A team and supervising junior associates Demonstrated ability to draft definitive transaction agreements and manage due diligence, disclosure letters, and closing processes Highly proficient in leading negotiations with transaction counterparties, managing client relationships, and collaborating across practice groups Prior AmLaw or similarly sophisticated law firm experience preferred Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong leadership abilities Key Responsibilities Represent tech and life sciences clients in strategic M&A transactions Lead the deal team through negotiations with counterparties and the structuring and execution of complex transactions Draft and review transaction documents, including definitive agreements, disclosure letters, and closing deliverables Supervise junior associates and oversee process management across all phases of a deal Collaborate with attorneys across practices to provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients Manage client relationships through responsive and solution-oriented service Why Join Us?
