Job Description
Our Civil Construction client is looking for a Senior Bridge Repairs Superintendent. Preferred NC but can reside in the following states: NC, MD, TN, WV, VA, SC, GA. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing complex bridge and coatings projects, giving you the opportunity to manage multiple crews, coordinate high-level field operations, and apply your expertise in structural repairs, shotcrete, and industrial coatings. Must Haves 5–10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, preferably bridge-related Minimum 3 years as a superintendent or inspector in coatings or structural repair Foreman-level expertise in: Pour and joint repairs Concrete repair and shotcrete application Beam plating and steel beam repair Epoxy resin injection Bridge jacking and steel bearing replacement Ability to interpret and enforce construction plans, specifications, and safety standards Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus) Industry certifications such as NACE, C3/C5, OSHA 30, or CAS highly desired Plusses Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field Bilingual in English and Spanish Experience with containment, blasting, surface cleaning, and repainting operations Shotcrete Nozzleman Certification DOT Welding Certification Day to Day: In this role, you’ll lead crews on structural repair and protective coating projects for bridges, working directly in the field alongside foremen, engineers, and subcontractors. You’ll be responsible for ensuring work meets safety requirements, stays on schedule, and maintains high quality, using your expertise in concrete repairs, shotcrete, epoxy applications, beam plating, bridge lifting, and coatings operations. Day-to-day duties include resolving field issues, guiding team members, overseeing safety and quality compliance, tracking project progress, and mentoring staff. This is a 100% field-based position requiring travel across multiple states, with assignments ranging from a few months to up to two years.
