Job Description
As a CNC Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding customer needs in an industrial environment by using innovative instruments, sophisticated computer systems and knowledge of parts programming and engineering. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Duties:
Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposals
Program and set up CNC lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, and Swiss style lathes
Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines
Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
Travel to customers for on site training and engineering assistance
Qualifications:
2+ years of CNC Programming, Setup, or relevant CNC machining background
Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Okuma controls
Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software
Ability to travel regionally (5% overnight as needed)
