Job Description
Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic, an hourly position reporting to the Maintenance Leader, is responsible for maintaining mechanical devices, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as electrical devices within the plant.**Primary Responsibilities: **
Address process and equipment issues, conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, and enhance safety, quality, and plant efficiency.
Adhere strictly to safety and housekeeping programs and policies to ensure a safe work environment.
Utilize machines, equipment, and measuring instruments for tasks such as precision alignment, predictive maintenance, welding, and equipment repair.
Plan and execute operational maintenance, including lubrication, on machinery and equipment.
Assist with developmental and experimental projects, managing data and completing records and reports.
Follow lock-out tag-out procedures and perform electrical repairs only on de-energized equipment.
Complete motor replacement, wiring repairs, and other maintenance tasks as required.
Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to guide assembly and repair processes.
Travel as needed for training and other purposes.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.

**Education and Experience: **
High school diploma or GED.
One-year certificate from college or technical school.
Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Combined knowledge of mechanical technology with electrical and electronic circuits.
**Physical Demands and Work Environment: **
Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and safely lift up to 75 lbs.
Use of hands or fingers for handling, feeling, and reaching.
Use of senses for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems.
Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Occasional work in wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
Moderate noise level in the work environment.
