About Our Client Our client is a Riverside-based law firm with a broad litigation platform handling matters in state and federal courts, including ADR when appropriate. Their defense practice spans civil litigation and insurance-related disputes, supporting a wide range of institutional and business clients. Job Description Handle civil litigation defense matters from intake through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and case strategy materials Take and defend depositions and manage written discovery Appear in court for hearings, CMCs, and motion practice Communicate directly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel Work closely with legal assistants/secretaries on filings, calendaring, and trial prep Support settlement efforts, mediation, and ADR as needed Qualifications Active CA Bar (required) 2+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally on the defense side Comfortable managing deadlines, motion practice, and discovery independently Strong legal writing and analytical skills Courtroom experience (hearings, CMCs, motions) is a plus Professional, responsive communicator with a team-oriented mindset JPC-551 #LI-SK3 Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance
