Technical Calculation Engineer / Mechanical Analysis Engineer / Structural & Vibration Engineer On-Site | Suburban Chicago Drive Advanced Mechanical Analysis & Product Performance Validation for a Global Engineering Solutions LeaderAre you a mechanically strong engineer who enjoys modeling, structural analysis, vibration performance evaluation, and validating engineered products before they reach the field?My client, the U.S. division of an established international engineering and manufacturing group, is seeking a Technical Calculation Engineer to support advanced mechanical calculations, structural modeling, vibration studies, and product validation efforts.This is not a drafting-only role. This is a high-impact engineering position where your ability to analyze suspension performance, model structures in SOLIDWORKS, perform vibration studies, and justify product performance through detailed calculation files will directly support customer deliverables and new product development.If you enjoy turning specifications into engineered reality, participating in product qualification testing, and working at the intersection of analysis, testing, and product development, this role offers strong technical depth and long-term growth. Why You Should Apply Competitive salary range: $80,000–$100,000 based on experience, education, skills and qualifications Competitive company subsidized group medical insurance Generous 401K plan with 6% match 12 paid company holidays per year On-site collaboration with engineering, project management, and testing teams High-visibility technical role supporting advanced mechanical product performance Position Summary The Technical Calculation Engineer is responsible for performing advanced mechanical calculations, structural modeling, and vibration performance analysis in support of customer projects and new product development.This role combines analytical rigor with hands-on testing involvement. You will verify technical specifications, calculate suspension performance using specialized software tools, model and analyze structures in SOLIDWORKS, participate in material and vibration test campaigns, and prepare formal documentation validating product performance.You will work closely with project managers, commercial teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure that all technical studies, calculations, and measurement campaigns meet performance expectations and project requirements. What You’ll Be Doing Review offers and orders to ensure compliance with technical specifications Perform suspension performance calculations using SYMOS and SDNL tools Model and analyze structures using SOLIDWORKS Develop justification files documenting product performance and calculations Support structural calculations and product dimensioning efforts Participate in test campaigns including vibration analysis and external customer testing Analyze vibration measurement data and prepare formal technical reports Design and develop mechanical calculation tools using MATLAB, Visual Basic, or C++ Collaborate with project managers and commercial teams to support customer deliverables About You Be able to do the job as described. Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS and structural modeling tools Experience with mechanical calculation software and vibration analysis tools Strong understanding of suspension performance, structural analysis, and mechanical modeling Ability to develop technical tools using MATLAB, Visual Basic, or C++ Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
