Mid-Level Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney – New York
We are partnering with a large international law firm to hire a Mid-Level Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney for its New York office. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-profile clients and complex, cross-market real estate transactions as part of a nationally recognized team. Key Responsibilities
Advise institutional investors, developers, and private equity clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters.
Structure and execute acquisitions, dispositions, and financings across asset classes including office, retail, logistics, healthcare/senior living, student housing, hospitality, and data centers.
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, commercial leases, and joint venture agreements.
Conduct and manage due diligence (title, survey, environmental, and zoning).
Advise on development projects from entitlement through completion.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across tax, construction, and planning & zoning practices.
Support clients with operational real estate matters including lease amendments, assignments, and subleases.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
Admission to the New York Bar.
3–5 years of commercial real estate experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
Demonstrated experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing transactions.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to multi-jurisdictional and cross-border transactions.
Familiarity with real estate development and capital markets structures.
Experience advising institutional clients, private equity funds, and REITs.

Competitive compensation range: $215,000 – $310,000 annually, based on experience.
