Job Description
Position Summary Our client is seeking an Epic Clinical Application Analyst to support core clinical operations, including inpatient, ambulatory, and ancillary workflows supported by the Epic platform. This role focuses on analyzing clinical processes, interpreting policies and operational constraints, and translating clinical needs into effective Epic application solutions. The analyst conducts detailed assessments, documents clinical and system requirements, and participates in application build, testing, implementation, and ongoing support. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare informatics, or a closely related field OR a valid Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license Three (3) years of experience in a clinical setting impacted by an Epic implementation Two (2) years of hands-on experience with Epic application build, testing, and support Epic application implementation experience required Licensure & Certification Required Epic certification at time of hire (one or more of the following): Willow Ambulatory (Pharmacy) Optime / Anesthesia Ongoing certification maintenance is required; failure to obtain or maintain certification may result in termination Knowledge Clinical workflows supporting inpatient, ambulatory, and ancillary care settings Epic EHR and healthcare information systems Change management principles and project management methodologies Operational and administrative practices within healthcare environments Applicable healthcare laws, codes, and regulatory requirements Standard office procedures, records management, and business communication practices Hospital safety protocols, infection control, patient rights, and emergency response procedures Skills & Abilities Translate complex technical and clinical concepts into language understood by end users Analyze clinical workflows and design effective Epic-based solutions Exercise independent judgment in workflow design, problem resolution, and project execution Develop and implement goals, policies, procedures, and work standards Perform quantitative and qualitative system analysis Troubleshoot Epic application and system issues Train and support clinical staff in Epic EHR functionality Communicate effectively with diverse clinical and non-clinical stakeholders Build and maintain effective working relationships Use computers, software applications, and equipment efficiently and safely
