INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY – LIFE SCIENCES LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, a leading global AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join its Life Sciences Litigation Practice. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to represent innovative companies in complex patent disputes and high-impact IP cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent writing and analytical skills, and substantive experience in life sciences patent litigation.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
Active Bar Admission in the applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
2–7 years of substantive experience in intellectual property patent litigation, preferably focused on life sciences
Technical degree in biology, chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field is strongly preferred
Technical background required
Experience drafting briefs and managing all phases of fact and expert discovery
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects
Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Key Responsibilities
Represent life sciences clients in patent and intellectual property litigation matters in federal district courts and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for complex patent cases
Manage discovery, depositions, expert reports, and document production
Collaborate with technical experts, clients, and cross-practice teams to develop litigation strategies
Conduct legal and technical research related to pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices
Support trial preparation and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions
Contribute to business development initiatives within the life sciences sector

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range of $235,000-$435,000, as determined by experience and market factors
