WEALTH PRESERVATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Location: Austin, TX

A premier AmLaw 200 firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its highly-regarded Wealth Preservation Practice Group in Austin. This is an exceptional opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys on sophisticated trust, estate, and business planning matters for high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners, in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
Active Bar Admission in Texas.
2–6 years of substantive experience, with a focus on trusts and estates planning and administration.
Experience with trust and estate planning, premarital agreements, wealth transfer strategies, asset protection planning, and business succession planning.
Familiarity with administration of trusts and estates, including fiduciary obligations and probate processes.
Exposure to transactional work involving mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures for a variety of entities, including publicly traded corporations, privately held companies, family-owned businesses, and Special Purpose Acquisition Companies.
AmLaw 200 experience required.
Familiarity with the pace and expectations of a sophisticated law firm environment.
Legal Drafting: Strong writing skills, with a high proficiency in drafting complex legal documents.
Team-Oriented Mindset: Enthusiastic about regular in-office collaboration with colleagues and committed to contributing to a mentorship-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on a wide range of wealth preservation matters, including trust and estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and asset protection structures.
Assist clients with business succession planning and administration of estates and trusts.
Draft and negotiate complex estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, and premarital agreements.
Support transactional matters related to mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures involving family-owned businesses and other entities.
Provide counsel on tax implications of estate and business planning strategies.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies that align with client goals.
Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to client relationship management.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Compensation: Includes an annual base salary range of $180,000– $310,000, commensurate with experience, and the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus.
